Why do I need to set up a 2FA?

Sandwich mandates the use of 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) for enhanced security, and it cannot be disabled.

Sandwich supports Google Authenticator and YubiKey for 2FA.

Logging in to Sandwich requires an email address with a registered user account, and the token from the 2FA associated to that account. Setting up your 2FA is part of the account registration process.

2FA is required for Sandwich and cannot be switched off. This serves to protect your personal information and API keys. Your API key file is encrypted and locked to your computer, however the file is accessible from within Sandwich. Logging in with 2FA is an additional security measure to protect your data should your physical computer be compromised.
